2015 PAGEANT
AREAS OF COMPETITION
The Miss U.S. Empire Pageant is a traditional beauty pageant for ladies all across the nation who exemplify grace and beauty and who are ages 13 and better. Areas of competition include:  Photogenic,  Interview, Swim Wear and Evening Gown.  Each area of competition is equally weighted at 25%.  Finalists MAY be asked to answer an on-stage question for bonus points.
THE OPENING PRODUCTION NUMBER

The 2015 U.S. Empire Pageant's™ opening number theme is
'THE ROARING 50's'
Pull out your parent's or grandparent's  best poodle skirts, leather pants, saddle shoes and more to showcase your 50's fashion and style in the opening number.  Let's have fun 50's style! The Opening Production Number is not judged.

A dance producton number will be taught to all delegates during pageant  activities.
PHOTOGENIC (25%)
U.S. Empire Pageants relies heavily upon statewide/ national advertising in industry publications and the internet to promote the Miss U.S. Empire Pageant™.  Therefore, titleholders must possess photogenic appeal and ability to project an image consistent with beauty and elegance. Photo requirements: 
  * Color photo of your choice
  * At least 5X7, no larger than 8X10
  * May be in either a seated or standing position.
  * Must be of good quality and clarity.  
  * Must submit a copyright release if required by her photographer.
  * Airbrushing should be kept to a minimum.  You should look like your photo.

** Judging criteria:  photogenic appeal, photo quality and clarity, beauty of face and figure, personality, grooming and fashion sense.
  ***Delegates will still need to provide official crown & banner photos for website & program book.
INTERVIEW (25%) 
U.S. Empire titleholders must be articulate with excellent social and conversational skills. Titleholders must be able to express themselves clearly, diplomatically, and must project a pleasant personality at all times.
  * Interviews are conducted panel style. 
  * Focuses primarily on delegates' personal information (e.g., hobbies, ambition, etc.) but will also include opinion questions that require general knowledge of social and current events.
  * Wear a dress, cocktail suit, or pantsuit for the interview competition. 

  **Judging criteria:  conversational skill, personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense.

SWIMWEAR (25%)
U.S Empire titleholders must exemplify a lifestyle of good physical, emotional and intellectual health.  Winners should be physically fit, with good muscle tone and body proportion.  Miss U.S. Empire™ titleholders must carry themselves with confidence and grace.
Delegates will model a 1-piece or 2-piece Swim Wear.  Shorts and t-shirt or tank for Summer wear.
Swim Wear may have appropriate cut-outs, mesh, and/or embellishments.
Delegates may also bring a matching fabric scarf to model with Swim Wear.  May be made of any fabric but chiffon or organza are recommended. Scarf may be a solid color or a print. Scarf /does not have to be the same color as the Swim Wear - may be a complementary color. 
Swim Wear must be in good taste.  No thongs or rios allowed. 
Sheer hose may be worn if desired. 

** Judging criteria:  fitness, modeling, personality, confidence, grooming and fashion sense.

EVENING GOWN (25%)
U.S. Empire titleholders must carry themselves with dignity, grace, poise and elegance.  Judges will not be evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the delegate (e.g., fit, color, style) as well as delegate's on-stage presentation.
* Evening gown must be floor length.

**Judging criteria:  modeling, personality, beauty, grooming and fashion sense.
Miss United States Empress (single, 18 to 29)
Ms. United States Empress (single 30 & better)
Mrs. United States Empress (married 21 & better)

Teen Miss United States Empress (13 to 17)
